  • 2 min read

Claiming your Google My Business page is really important if you want to be found in your local market. It’s like being listed in the yellow pages online. When you see a Google Map with 3 local businesses listed under the map, those are the Google My Business listings. A Google My Business page is very valuable.  Your goal as a local business would be to be in the top 3 Google My Business spaces. That is the number of how many may show up on the first page of Google. If you are unsure how to claim or manage your Google My Business listing, we are for hire, but here are some things to think about doing and maintaining if you are going to do it on your own.

Claim your Google My Business listing. You should be owner of your own Google My Business. This is your business listing. When companies try to gain control over your Google My Business listing, be very cautious. Ask yourself how will you get it back if they are the owner of your listing and are not providing good service. The owner is the only one that can move control of this listing.

  • Update content, hours, etc.
  • Add images regularly.
  • Collect Google reviews.
